In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) these updates will let you know what is happening at Granshaw.
Update from Mark on Corona Virus
Posted on 03 July, 2020
We in Granshaw Family Church have been giving a lot of thought and prayer to how we best respond to the Coronavirus Pandemic. We have been keeping an eye on the ever-changing situation, we have been putting out Sunday Live Services / Daily Podcasts / and lots of Youth work online, so you still feel connected to our church family.
People are still confused about church being open. The Government have said churches can re-open on the 29th June 2020… BUT it must keep social distancing which stands at 2 meters… Which means for some churches with big buildings and few worshipers this is not a problem…But for our church, it is a big problem as we can only get 46 people into church and we normally have 400 people and we would not be allowed to sing praise songs out loud.
Therefore, Granshaw Church CAN NOT OPEN at this moment in time due to the 2 meters restrictions.
We are prayerfully and practically considering how to make church available after the summer when social distancing is dropped to 1 meter. YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY…
Going forward, it is hoped that you will continue to enjoy our online services, along with the daily podcasts and youth work. This will have to be our church for the next two months and then we will have a review of meeting together and how we can get back to a new church safely and with everyone feeling safe and comfortable.
So please love and care for each other at this crazy time in our history.

Due to the continually evolving situation with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, the wise and prudent decision has been made to suspend youth work at Granshaw from Monday to ensure the safety of the young people, their families and our leaders. This includes BB, GB, Kids Club, Young Life and Wyldlife and GIG.
This is not an ideal situation and we thank you for your understanding.
We still believe it is important to disciple our young people and so we will be carrying out a number of online Bible studies via Instagram Live over the next number of weeks. We hope to start a number of other online initiatives for our teenagers as well. For more information on these please contact AK on 07969095697 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Take care of yourself and those in your community.
